☞ A Mother's Nostalgia (Cinquian)

Weeping
Pain grew stronger
Like motherhood kills her
Yet her baby's voice strengthens and
Calls her

Mother's
Raising a child
Felt like a set to fail
Her hands are tired and wrinkled
Yet smiles

Sadness
Invades her heart
As her child grows further
Mother's heart shatters in farewell,
Free her

Longing
Rest upon her
As her child leaves her home
Praying in silence for her child
To stay

Weakened
By her sickness
Yet still worries for child
Be unmothered forever with

Old age

SHS SERIES: What’s like to be a Grade 11 in FEU-NRMF (Philippines)

SHS SERIES: What’s like to be a Grade 11 in FEU-NRMF (Philippines) Part 1 (First Semester) Summer of 2016 was nerve wrecking for me. Since I was part of the first batch of Grade 11 (Eleven) Enrollees. I did not have access to resources which can inform me of what I was getting myself into. I remembered searching every day. And I would end up in the same websites with nothing but uncertainty. I gained nothing but a memory of the subjects for Senior High School curriculum. I failed to determine how difficult the subject was. I failed to see what lies beyond those curriculums. Because there was no article, no testimonials. Two months of waiting felt like forever. Hence, I decided to finally post a blog. I may seem a bit too late. Since the second batch of Grade 11 students already finished their school year. And I was already through with Twelfth Grade which would be another story. Yet I failed to find blog entries of my batch mates and the incoming batch. All I see was complai...

Cinderella Syndrome (Parody)

Be warned because this contains scenes that would make you see the tale of Cinderella in a different perspective. Gone is the lovely and charming Cinderella. Only what is left will find out as you read along her fairy tale turned in to something else. In a far-far away, there was a lovely couple with a dashing child named Cinderella. She was blessed to have loving parents. Soon, life came crushing upon her when her father cheated. Her mother could not take, she took her own life. For her, her life was a living hell. She blamed her evil step mother for it. Her stepmother was selfish she wanted to keep the wealth for her and her daughters. Her stepmother put poison on her father's drink. She knew he would be the only one permitted to drink from that golden cup, it was a gift of her mother from their wedding. Her father desperately pounded his chest, as he struggled to catch some air. His lips turned blue, and his eyes were bloodshot red. His breathing ragged...

Character Strength Analysis

As indicated by the results, her primary character strengths include having perspective, self regulation, and creativity. This is justified by the content of her autobiography. As seen, she is responsible to all aspects of herself, whether personal or professional matters. Having a good perspective means she have a sensible view of life and she can provide wise advice to other people. These are exhibited in her initiative to lead others in certain endeavours. At the same time, it is seen on her insightful way of handling things. And although her opinions are painful, they are evidently facts.  Another strength is her ability to self regulate herself, she can handle urges and emotions, and she maintains discipline even if surrounded by bad influences. With that, she claims herself as a pursuer of excellence. This entails her undivided attention in accomplishing her tasks. And she is driven to be excellent, and delay play because she has work to do. Lastly is creativity, which is her...
